AKCP WS15 3m Spot Water Detector
The Spot Water Sensor is an advanced microprocessor-based design capable of detecting distilled water. Standard water detectors are unable to detect distilled water and water with other impurities due to their use of a resistance type circuit. These resistance types rely on electrolytes present in the water but cannot be used with distilled water due to its high resistance.
The entire circuit is encased in epoxy giving it a waterproof finish, able to withstand being submerged in water for prolonged periods. The sensor has an SNMP OID for monitoring across a network and will report a critical condition (water presence) at any time before returning to a normal state condition. Notifications can be sent via SNMP traps, or email or any of the wide range of alerts available on AKCP base environmental monitoring units.
Spot Water Sensors
- Detect water presence
- Works with securityProbe and sensorProbe series base monitoring units
- Powered by the base unit and requires no additional power
- Maximum cable extension up to 150m (500ft)
- Will also detect the presence of distilled water
