The UniFi Protect AI Port (UP-AI-Port) is an AI appliance designed to enhance both UniFi and compatible third-party cameras by integrating advanced detection, classification, and recognition capabilities. This device enables features such as motion detection, people and vehicle identification, animal detection, speech recognition, as well as face and license plate recognition. 

Compatibility: The AI Port supports ONVIF-compliant third-party cameras, allowing seamless integration into the UniFi Protect ecosystem. It also enhances UniFi Protect G3, G4, and G5 series cameras. ?
AI Capabilities: By connecting a camera to the AI Port, users can access advanced AI features, including:?
Detections: Motion, people, vehicles, animals, and speech.?
Classifications: Vehicle color and type.?
Recognitions: Face and license plate recognition. ?
Power Supply: The AI Port provides power to connected cameras through its PoE output. When powered via PoE+, it supplies up to 12.95W; with PoE++, it delivers up to 25.5W. For cameras requiring higher power, a separate PoE switch or injector is recommended. ?
Stream Support: The device supports video streams up to 4K resolution at 30 frames per second. For optimal performance with higher-resolution cameras, it's advisable to adjust the camera's settings to match these specifications. ?

Deployment: The AI Port can be connected directly to a camera or paired with any compatible camera on the same network, offering flexible installation options. Each AI Port currently supports one camera to ensure optimal AI processing performance. Future updates aim to expand this capacity to support multiple cameras, depending on their resolution and type. ?
